As far as racing ya friends 94 Chevy auto's have historically been better of the line for the most part due to it's better first gear ratio in thier OD trannies compared to Fords. Also I believe the 4th Gen F-bodies auto cars have a nicer rear gear also. That plus the HP and torque of the LT-1 adds to the horrible whooping you get off the line. So from 100-130mph you have helped to limit those things also I believe 94 LT-1 have some wierd computer fuel shut-off in certain gears at certain MPH not RPM's that cause them to have to goto the next gear or OD sooner than they need to. I maybe wrong on that but I have heard some Chevy guys say something about that.
