Yeah unfortunately there is no real easy fix for the windshield that wouldnt result in a "cloudy" or "milky" appearance. Your best bet is to have the windshield replaced. And use a plastic bladed ice scraper and not a metal bladed one (if this applies). Our 1992 Saturn has a terrible windshield as a result of not only the ice scraper, but more so just the "sandblasting" effect from gravel and sand hitting it over the years. The only real fix for it was replacement.
