This weekend I decided to do the brakes on my wife's car. I have the pads but needed rotors. Picked up at parts place. I wasn't sure of engine size so I guessed (first mistake). Came home, pulled car apart, wrong size. Checked engine (1.8) and took rotors back. They didn't have the size I needed. Went to second store. I knew the correct engine info so I got the rotors and left. I should have brought old rotor with me (second mistake). Of course it didn't fit. Took rotors back along with one of the old rotors. Their computer says I have 11" rotors on my car but I have 10". They can't help me. Go to third store same story. It is 5pm Sunday night so now everything is closed. Put car back together with old rotors and pads.
I called another place yesterday. They said they got rotors for my car. I ask the guy to measure them and of course they are 11". Nissan dealer wants $80 each for rotors. I didn't bother asking what size they were.
Is there another Nissan car model that has the same 10" brakes? This way the parts store can find the correct rotor in their computer? Perhaps an older sentra? I don't want to pay nissan for the rotors. My wife just wants the car to stop pulsating can I get them at a decent price?
