Since your fuel pressure drains pretty quickly after you shut the engine down and it is hard to start.

I would tend to believe you have a fuel injector that is leaking fuel into the intake.

This would cause your fuel pressure to drain off and would also 'flood' your engine causing it to start a little harder.

Go to your GM dealer and pick up a can of GM fuel injector cleaner. This stuff is really good to clean the carbon off of the tips of your injectors. Use about 1/3 can for the next three tanks of fuel and see if that helps.

If it doesn't seem to help, your dealer can check to see if you have an injector that is leaking off.
