What to filters have to do with intercooling? The jobs they perform are not related in the slightest!!! A filter goes before the compressor wheel of the turbo to prevent it from suckin in airborn particles, wearing your compressor wheel and your engine. An intercooler reduces the temperature of the air coming out of the compressor...
You could run 5 filters or even better an open compressor wheel and a guy with 1 filter and an intercooler will beat you every time(unless its a very restrictive filter our intercooled friend is running)
