you should try to get an amp that pushes the sub to it's capacity. I've noticed in those brands you better get the same brand amp to be sure not to blow thew! Eg: I have a friend who had an Audiopipe bandpass enclosure loaded with 2 ten's. They were 400w RMS, 800w peak each, and he hooked them up to an Alpine amp (one that's fan-cooled) and they blew after 3 weeks. Alpine's watts are real watts. Audiopipe's watts are like Pyle, Pyramid and Legacy watts: fictional. So if your sub says 1000 watts peak, get it a 1000w peak amp in the same brand: it's the same watts
