Re: getting rx7-fc s5

Well the good things about the car is that it's rare and has a unique factor to it. It makes 202 hp stock and looks great. The bad part is first finding a decent one in the first place. The engine being that it is a turbo will not last as long as a n/a engine. It takes only premium gas and needs oil changes I'd say every 2500 miles at least. Turbos are harder on the oil so smaller intervals on oil changes are the best idea. The FC's could always use a better cooling system from what I've learned and the grounds on the car aren't the greatest so redoing those at some point wouldn't a bad idea. When you go to buy one the visual inspection is important especially under the car. There you will find the leaks and frame damage which are the worst to fix. Finally if you really wanted to you could take the intake pipe off the turbo and spin the turbine. It should spin freely. Also you could try wobbling it to see if the shaft has to much play. A little play is normal.
