OBD Code Question
The check engine light came on in my 96 GT 4.6 SOHC the other night, so I went to Auto Zone and had them check the code. Got a P1443 Evaporative Emission Control System Control Valve...Unfortunately, neither they nor my local Ford Dealer can tell me what the hell this particular valve is. Chilton's shows it as the Idle Air Control Valve - speed fault under this code. Everything else I have found so far indicates a purge problem in the evaporative emissions canister. Any guru's here know which way to go here??? Any and all help would be appreciated.
