well there are pros and cons to both. Superchargers work with belts, so the power is always there, you don't have the notorious turbo lag when waiting for them to spool, if that's what you mean by more constant power. However, the downside of supercharging is that it requires power to keep it going.(whereas turbos run off exhaust gases, and steal no power) Superchargers will steal some of the power you are creating. Also, if heavily modding your car is in your future plans, turbocharged applications have the potential for more power output.
Either way you go, you car will still be quick. I also think thats pretty cool to try and take the road less traveled. I have a friend who just dropped a new engine in his 84 trans am and is now looking at twin-supercharging it. That would be sweet if something like that were possible for our cars. So do your research and good luck with whatever direction you take.
