Awww sh*t! Got my hatch back....MPFI working!.....spanked another hatch!...MUST READ
Hey guys....I don't know if you remember but i put an A6 into my car...I did the MPFI wiring myself and swapped it in myself. But for 3 months i spent everyday trying to fix it cuz it never started. But, the motor was pulled from a 91 crx, and it ran like a gem.
The crx was totaled but I still spanked an integra with it when I was on the way to a shop to have the motor pulled from it. I beat the teg and the crx had a smashed windshield, fucked up fenders, headlights, no corners, messed up bumber, and the hood tied down with string....lol......and I had someone in the car!
So 3 months ago I dropped it into my 88 dx hatch and never got it running. Over the last 3 months, I spent almost 300$ on stock parts replacing everything trying to get it to work. I bought a new battery, new coil, new wires, new plugs, swapped map sensors, replaced more gaskets than I can count, double and tripple checked my wiring...but nothing. Everyone doubted my wiring. So I had a friend with an LS turbo swapped CRX come over and check my wiring. Even he said the wiring was perfect and looked cleaner than his wiring! So I thought WTF. He checked my timing which I new was good. I was getting Air, Fuel, and Spark. Still it wusn't starting. So I decided to buy a compression tester and guess what? It was bad. 2 cylinders were good but the 3rd and 4th cylinders only had 0psi and 50psi which isn't enough to start my car. But how could this be? The car ran clean b4 I put it in....so I said ohh well.
I talked to this kid alex and he just happened to have an extra B2 with less than 100k on it and burned no oil. So I swapped the dx motor in over the last week. Turned it over and VROOOOMMMMMM!!!!! I was so happy. I finally had my car back and it had the MPFI and Si tranny. So everything is all good now. I decided to go out and test it. I couldn't keep the tires planted through all of first gear. I know it's not THAT powerful but I decided to test it out.
I raced my boy with a 92 hatch. He's got Intake, cat back exhaust, hi flow cat, si tranny swap, si (p28) ecu (but non vtec head). All's I can say is I owned him. I had about 7 or 8 car lengths on him going into second. Im not kidding....my boy Ray (Masta on these forums) was with me and witnissed this catastrophe...lol. Holy Shit!...N' I drove his car before and it is pretty quick. I raced him like 4 or 5 times...on the highway, from a stop, I even let him go first and go ahead of me, but that didn't last very long....lol. He was impressed and so was I.
I'm thinking, I should be able to beat any non swapped dx civic whether it has intake, header, exhaust or not....because of that si tranny. That makes me the 3rd fastest person in the city where I live...LOL!
So anyways....after it's all said and done...im pretty satisfied with my setup right now....but I will be swapping in something later....but im not telling.......it's gonna be different than wut ur used too.
