Question Rain/Snow Water leaking into cabin and more!

I have a 95 Jetta GLS and starting in the Fall of 2003 I got in the car to go to work in the middle of a rain storm and I had about 1.5" of water on the passenger side of the car. The next day I had the same amount on the passenger side. It looks like it is coming down behind the dashboard near where the door seams are. I tried opening the hood and looking where the windshield meets that rubber seal and gutter (?) which directs water flow. I found a bunch of leaves and mud cleaned it out as much as possbile and it seemed to work. But it didn't. I now have an inch of ice on the floor of my car, I'm in Pittsburgh. Does anyone have an idea of where the drains are located under the hood. I think they must be clogged up.

Also, I am pretty sure I got a lemon with this car. I bought this car new and have had problems since the day I bought it. I was in the shop almost 30 times in the first 2 years I had it. Now the trunk lock doesn't work, the windows sound like they are grinding when they go up and down, I can't lock my doors in the winter, they freeze up even though I have had them rebuilt twice, I have had starting problems since I bought the car, the tape deck doesn't work and the 3 buttons fell off of it, that's just for starters. On a positive note, the two ights over the odometer and tach, finally came on by themselves back in October. They had been off for almost 8 years.
Sorry I had to vent.
