BUY IT!! If it's an 84, it meas its a grey market car shipped independently from Germany. The only new car for less that $50k thats nicer than an old BMW or Mercedes is a new BMW or Mercedes. If you were to buy it for $10k you could probably turn around and sell it to a collector for $15k. Blue book value dosen't necissarily reflect what some people would pay for it, I see most e30 M3's with over 100k miles sell for over $10k. Don't supercharge it, theres a company out here on the east coast called Korman Autoworks that sells headers, and other add-ons that could help you get close to 350hp with out the loss of value or engine damage. They have a website, but you will have to look it up on a search engine. It may be 17 years old, but you will get a lot more looks from an M6 in decent condidion than almost any new car.
