Actually, u dont have to weld anything. All you have to do is buy annother bracket to use on it. First take the driveshaft, tranny, torque converter, flexplate. Then put the pivot bearing in. Then put the flywheel, clutch , pressure plate and throwout bearing. Make sure to get your little line up tool from the nearest automotive store. You can use the same crossmember but it would be easier to use the one from a five-speed, bigger bushing holes. Then run your clutch cable from the fork to the inside of the car. Then put your exhaust back on and then put your shifter in. Put fliud in your tranny, put your pedal bracket on and put the speedo back in. Yes your old driveshaft will fit. Go ahead and take the steering wheel out and driver seat as it will be easier to work on your pedal bracket. All of this should take you around 15-18 hours of suck ass labor. I did in on the wet ground outside using common handtoools, it took me 15 hours in total. This is by far the biggest time consuming bitch i have ever did, if you dont want to do it by yourself it will cost you $2100-2500 for a automotive shop to do it for you including the transmission and clutch, ect.
