The 24V will not fit in an A2 without serious modification. I saw a 24V into A3 conversion in process and the entire front end was being rebuilt from tubing to accomodate that engine. another thing is that the 6 speed that the 24V often runs, just straight won't fit in there. Corrado is the only way to do it easily. You can get corrado parts from the dealership and some parts stores, but it will cost you an arm and a leg. and remember that an A2-A3 swap will require SLC corrado parts, they have to be from a VR6 corrado. A g60 has the same crossmember you already have!! A2-A3 VR6 Swaps work because there is a car in there that isn't a generation car. the corrado was available with an A3 engine and a most A2 body design. Between A3 and A4 there is no such car, and between A2 and A4 its apples to oranges. I don't think you will be able to put that 24V into an A2. If you do, it will certainly be very original! Can't wait to see it done!

as far as price on the original post, i forgot to mention it! A VR6 Swap can cost anywhere from 1-2Grand if you have help and get parts cheap, all the way up to 6 grand or more if you have to pay for help wiring and such, not to mention finding the VR6 corrado parts.
