the pump and bearings in your car are new, and have closer tolerances than your neighbors older car. And at -25 degrees the two pumping surfaces may be dissimilar metals that have contracted at different rates. the neighbors pump is worn causing larger gaps in the pump. There by allowing room for more fluid to flow between the moving parts.. The oil for your pump is probably like jelly at that temp too where as your neighbors is still flowing due to it being a less viscous fluid. (tranny fluid)
