thank you very much for the replies. There are 2 different types of engines intefering and non interfering.

Can someone verify for sure if the camry has the non intefering engine.

can i just pull the timing belt cover to inspect the belt for cracks?

I have a friends with an MR2 turbo, LEXUS GS400 and their angine's are non interfering as well. Thank you.
