Sequoia Fuel Level Sending Unit Problem
Sequoia FUEL LEVEL SENDING UNIT problem: Has anyone had problem with the Sequoia Fuel Level Sending Unit? My problem is intermittent, and happens once a month or so. When the tank is between 3/4 and 1/4 full, suddenly the no fuel warning ligt comes on and the fuel gauge drops to EMPTY. If I drive with it 5 to 10 miles, the no fuel warning light goes away, and the fuel level goes back to normal. This is definetly a fuel level sending unit problem, but it is intermittent. If you have the problem, please report to the dealer to register problem with Toyota.
(4 problems in 4 months).
Sequoia KEYLESS ENTRY REMOTE CONTROL problem: There is a recall as well as special extended warranty on the remote control for the keyless entry. The Sequoia's liftgate window is notorious for being lowered spontaneously on its own. Toyota has a recall and if you call the dealer, they will replace the remote controls free even if the warranty has expired. (6 incidents of liftgate window going down on its own in 4 months).
Sequoia LIFTGATE RELEASE ASSEMBLY problem: If you have had problems with the liftgate release assembly seizing, or the lever that opens the liftgate (lever just above the rear licence plate), please report to Toyota. There could be a special extended warranty on this problem. (I have had 3 problems in past 9 months).
