Yeah, the valve is located at the base or the driver's side rear head. You can see it if you push aside all of the vac/coolant hoses/etc. If you look at the throttle body it's about 1 foot directly below that. There will be a wiring harness, a vac line, and (IIRC) 2 coolant lines running into it.
Here are a couple of pics: The manifold is the rear exhaust manifold. The head sitting on the table is the rear head with a set of headers test fitted.
