Let's just clarify something here on the 'water injection' thing and WRC cars.

The water injection on WRC cars sprays water across the intercooler keeping the intercooler cooler, this water at no point comes into contact with the air flow into the engine, it is on the exterior of the tubes the air is flowing through and keeps the tubes cooler by evaporation.

The guy is not asking about water injection on turbocharged engines, he is asking about water getting sucked up into his standard air intake.
