The only reason you would need to buy a CAI would be because your engine needs more volume. With a small motor(~1600cc) a CAI will only be needed for about 230+hp, which most kids with Hondas dont have.
Driving throught rain or snow wont really affect ur engine bad enought o hydrolock. People are afraid to get those front mount CAI because they think the rain is gonna hydrolock the engine and blow it. Trust me rain isnt gonna do anything but driving with the bottem half of ur car throught the ocean will! Most non-front mount CAI intakes are mostly protected from the rain so i doubt hurricane weather will hydrolock ur engine.
