The fact that the check engine light has come on is a good thing. This has triggered a trouble code in the computer and that code will help diagnose the problem. A lot of auto parts stores ( at least here in upstate NY ) have a scan tool and will retrieve the codes for free. Autozone is the store I have used in the past. Other than that you will need the dealer ( expensive ) or a small shop that is equiped with a scan tool and familiar with jeep systems. I would drive it as little as possible until you have it serviced.
