Another thing you should be aware of is most older Fords cab mounts rust away. Most particularly the extra cabs.
Often an easy fix used is a 2X4 shoved between the cab and frame. Not a very good solution. Put a proper repair in your budget when pricing out the truck.
The bench seats also seem to sag in the older models.
