The noise is a repetitive squeak. It was definately not there prior to the spring install. The faster I go the more it squeaks...the slower I go the bigger the time interval between squeaks. When I hit the brakes the noise goes away. There seems to be no relation between bumps and this noise as far as I can tell. It's consistent with speed.
"When you put the caliper back on did you tighten one bolt all the way down, then the other? or did you make one snug then the other snug before tightening all the way?"
Unfortunately I cannot answer this. As I was doing the work on the left rear side my buddy was doing the work on the right rear...the problem side. On the left side I got each bolt finger tight, then finished the work with the ratchet. I'm the novice and he's the amateur enthusiast though for whatever that's worth.
I'll go out to the car right now and push it around. So emergency brake should be off I guess for this test? I'm parked on a flat surface so it's cool either way.
