similar thing happened to me in my 93 civic si. i was driving up my street and my car was revving high and then the oil light turned on and my car just died. i towed it to the shop and it turned out the oil pump quit and destroyed my engine. so i got it rebuilt, got it back and a week later i was driving and the oil light kept on flickering so i stopped checked the oil and it showed fine. an hour later my engine started to knock. so i went home, towed it the next day, and they are going to have to rebuild my engine again. free of charge because the guy that rebuilt my engine left pieces of shaved metal in my head which messed everything up. So im guessing you have about the same problem i do.
