Co-worker of mine has an RX-8. They handle like they're on rails, but don't have the acceleration of the S2000, or S200 for that matter.
Stock S2000 owners have managed to squeeze very high 13 second times in the 1/4 mile. Stock RX-8 owners have only been able to squeeze mid to low 14 second 1/4 mile times as far as I know.
The beauty of both these cars is the handling capabilities though.
