Every healthy relationship between humans on earth is based both on respect and give/take. Completely understandable you don't enjoy being left at home with kids when your wife goes out, but I'm sure the feeling is mutual when you're out and she's looking after them.

I think Jon's handled this quite maturely. Yes, he's venting, but has shown the respect to his parents by doing what they asked, even though he doesn't like it. I know people who would just nut out at their parents like 5 year olds (when they are 22) and just make things worse.
