it's just another way for them to put other people down. if you ask a question that's been asked before they know that 1) you're new and/or 2) you're not a donating member, therefore you "don't care about the overall well-being of the forums" and don't deserve the kind of respect the donating, full-time members get. that's why people over there who are "popular" stay popular and gain brownie points with the mods and attain "untouchable" status and the newbies go there get flamed and never come back.
the thing i don't get is, they are so uptight about asking the same Q's more than once, but then the more respected members just fill up the forums with babble and bullshit. so when you do find a thread pertaining to a question that you have, they expect you to sift through pages and pages of bull shit to find the one post that has the information you're looking for.
