If you can smell a gas when cranking (from exhaust, of course) it’s a good probability fuel lines work properly. Then check for spark. If no gas smell at all, here are 2 possibilities: fuel pump line (fuses, relay, wires, fuel pump itself) or injectors line: wires, fuses (if exist.) If it’s carburetor, you need cleaning job or new fuel filter (or both.) If fuel lines are OK, check for spark. If no spark, it could be the distributor, ignition coil or main wire from ign.coil to distributor problem. Weak spark = no spark. First of all check for blown fuses.
If it seems turn over slowly, most likely the starter is dying (the battery supposes to be good.) This is exactly what happened with my max.; 2 weeks the car’s been dead. Finely, changing the starter solved the problem. Hope this helps, good luck.
