Oh and what was funy is the back 8 valves (exhaust) were white and 1 looked rusted a bit(sign of a BHG)..is this normal..
I am not sure what clear evidence may remain of a blown head gasket after removing the head. It is kind of a mess after its pulled off. It would depend on what part blew perhaps some rust on the cylinder walls would indicate coolant leak or noticable warpage.

You can clean the head/block with gasket remover and a wooden or plastic scraper; don't use metal of course. However, I've found the best way to clean the head/block is to get yourself some roloc bristle disc (3m part number 07528) and an air grinder. It'll clean to a high shine in no time at all. Since you'll have to send the head out anyway you don't really have to clean that yourself. Check with them but the shop will likely do that as part of their service.

IIRC my exhaust valves looked that way too I had assumed that it was normal.
