2.4's came with a quad cam or twin cam. If you port your throttle body , upper intake manifold , lower intake manifold and port polish the exhaust ports with some nice open headers and a cold air intake you should easily gain up to 50hp+ on a quad cam 30hp+ twin cam. If your 2.4 cav is a standard transmission , find a light flywheel and a sporty clutch , this will make a bigger difference in revs and your motors use of bhp . or simple put , it moves quicker. Now the new ecotec 2.2 has a hell of alot more possabilities for making hp. I hear GM came out with a line of engine toys. They say a kit is available for 1200hp or 1500hp , not sure which. If thats true , it should become cheap and easy for future mods. Wait awhile for the cheap BIG stuff to come out , you wont be sorry.

My 2000 Grand Am has over 130,000 kms on it and i plan to drive it for years to come , with engine mods installed.
