not a chance....

from a stock b18 you can expect very high 14's to low 15's. zc in a civic runs 14.9-15.0 with the si trans...ls trans has wider gearing, so i doubt that its faster than a zc on a 1/4 mile run. both have about 140 hp.

any route you go...your options will be limitless witha b series motor...each route has its pro's and con's, but you can make power many different ways. its really a matter of personal preference.

if you wanna do something really cool that not many people consider....look into the stroker kits that eagle has for the b18. I think after the new crank and internals, your displacement is something like 2.3 liters.

crx + 2.3 liters of non-vtec fury = yumm
