Tokyo Xtreme Racer 1 and 2 are DC games pal. Tokyo Xtreme Racer 01 is for PS2, and TXR:3 is Shutokou Battle 01, a COMPLETELY new game, not an expansion to TXR01. This game is KICKASS. 20 dollars, and its WAY better than the 50 dollar Need For Speed Underground! I cant stop playing, there are 2 new cities, i mean CITIES, meaning the whole highway system! The graphics are kickass! The menu is much easier to use as well. The storyline is about yourself from TXR:0. "2 years ago... the 13 Ogre Military Officers were defeated...." Funny shit, because the translations are different...Dejected Angel (Unhappy Angel (i hate that translation...)) Betrayal Jack Knife(wtf? Traitor Jack Knife...) and wanderers reappear in the game. (slow but looks cool!) The trasnlations from 13 Devils to Ogre Military Officers is lame though...Dejected Angel, Betreyal Jack Knife, and Bloodhound are the first Bosses you meet in Tokyo (3 cities to beat, twice, the first time is easy) and the effects are kickass. The sound effects are definately a touch, you can hear the turbo spooling, and the blow off valve is pretty loud, and later on in the game, sequential blow off valves can be equipped (cricket-like noise ones). Skylines sound like Skylines, the boxer-engined Subarus sound the way they should, a rotary engine sounds like a rotary, a tuned V8 doesnt sound like a ricer (like in GT3) and has a deep, throaty sound (yes, American muscle does appear, Mustang, Firebird, Corvette) Sounds like a damn plane flying by with the turbos screaming

When you race Bloodhound, it starts to rain blood, and Dejected Angel makes this blue particle speed effect like in Auto Modellista
Speed King, Red Devil and the like are still there, so you can have those modded Skylines too
Special cars such as a West Corvette, MCR BNR34, NOB's S15 (the drifter), and Manabu Orido's Ridox Supra. Its funny as hell, the gay ass Isuzu Vehicross thing and the New Beetle are in there, theres a racing team of people who like to drive fast to eating contest (Vehicross team, Willows) and a team of all girls (drive only New Beetles)

The rain is a pain to drive in, but atleast there even IS rain! Many Wanderers and the teams you met (Rolling Guy, Road of Justice, Rings, etc) reappaear as well. Hondas are not in the game, Honda doesnt like the idea of people swapping engines, so they took it out. After you reach 1242 miles in your car, you can swap in super-engines like turbo L6, twin turbo V8s, and stuff like that. It feels a bit ricey in the customizations....but....
great game, definately worth it. Its priced 20 bucks because Crave didnt think it would last against NSF:U, and the really really gay cover only hides the kickass game underneath. The only reason i dont like this game...it killed Kaido Battle, Sammy Studios canceled it after they found out TXR:3 came out for 20 dollars and sold out within a few days. They were planning to sell for full price, and didnt think drifting had enough popularity to compete with the better known TXR series...bah
As for me, I started with an S13, bought all the body parts in carbon and left it unpainted, took off the spoiler to make it lighter, and beat all 3 cities for the first time with it. After you beat all three cities, race Roads of Justice and buy the BNR34, works for me
