Just keep in mind that venting the BOV will piss off the ECU on a regular basis.
As long as she is willing to deal with the car, its fine otherwise. For a performance BOV, I certainly recomend the 1G BOV as well. You should upgrade the upper intercooler pipe (UICP) in either case, which requires switching to an aftermarket open element filter like the K&N. People run the K&N all the way down to the 10s too.
