It appears to be an external leak only. I am relatively new to my area ( Columbus, OH ). I don't know any mechanics around here. I have made some calls and people want about $1300 to so the head gaskets and $300-700 for the freeze plug. Does this sound legit? I tried some stop leak radiator additive with no success. Any suggestions?? Thanks
The prices seem a bit high. Go to www.cartalk.com and look around for the Mechanics Survey and type in your zip code. Get some estimate from them and you should be okay. Good Luck.
