The knock sensor is actually part of the car, not the logger. For the 90-94 cars, the pocketlogger CAN read the knock sensor. For 95-99 the OBDII loggers CANNOT read the knock sensor. But you can still get an idea of what knock is by looking at the resulting ignition timing advance... For your 92, you are all set, and can see knock. The M105 is the low end model correct? If so I use that one with no trouble, cost me ~100 bucks a few years ago. I think they're like 40 bucks now. Even with very small ammount of memory (2MB?) there is room for hundreds of logs...
