Ok here we go! after finishing setting up my workshop and my white Fujimi MR2 this is my first documented build up project to go on this forum.
The subject of this this project is a Hasegawa Lancer EVO III, last week i cleaned up the body, there was a fair bit of mould lines and a few imperfections which was kinda weird for a Hasegawa kit, i have built a lot of their aircraft in the past and usually its pretty good, i guess im just getting too picky. that said I sprayed the body with Tamiya's Brilliant Orange.
The body is now ready to be polished after waiting 8 days for the paint to dry,I hate having to wait for paint to fully cure but i think this makes or breaks a project, iused to rush painting my bodies and end up screwing it up.
I have also opened up all openings in the front bar since it was molded closed,im planing to replace the Hasegawa supplied mesh with some spare Tamiya mesh because it just look wrong and out of scale.
Just a shot of the rear
The polishing will start tomorrow, the paint didint turn out too bad so i guess i wouldnt have to do too much. if all goes well i will get started on lowering the car, this thing rides like a bus plus the supplied wheel is a joke, it looks like a set of 14'inch wheels about as wide as a bicycle tyre.
Unsure what sort of wheels i want to put on this thing yet,ive got a nice set of Fujimi brembo brakes that i want to put on this baby, so i think a 5 spoke of somekind would be the pick.
