A wet nitrous system injects fuel at the nozzle as well as nitrous, a dry system just injects nitrous and just uses add-ons to the factory fuel system to deliver the extra fuel. Wet systems can ultimately add more fuel with more reliable results than dry and thus are rated for much higher power levels, but they also require a lot more work to install and setup. Most wet systems are also direct port rather than single fogger nozzles.
