Blown head...bottom end contition???
I owned an '89 previously regret ever selling it!!!
I'm looking at an '88 si w/4WS and 112k mi. asking $250
Rust over both fenders and interior is not bad
Timing belt is broken many bent valves...
I have estimates for repair and they are reasonable...
My question is how often is the bottom end damaged (cracked Piston etc) when timing belts blow or do they blow soon after due to the change in compression in the new head?
I would appreciate any feedback from anyone whos has been through this as I am trying to decide weather to buy this 1 or not.
