You can get the tranny out of a 1G, it just takes alot of moving around to get the angle just right. Getting it back in makes taking it off look easy. Its alot easier to take the engine and tranny out together. I unfortunately know that because I burnt the rings on my evo III 4g63 and got stuck putting in a POS JDM, then I had to take the tranny back off because I tried to put my centerforce on the stock JDM flywheel (thanks for helping me figure that out by the way).
