Haven't touched too much... still trying to decide what I should as for when buying a new timing belt, alt. belt, and water pump (I'm thinking I'll need parts from a Civic VX).
Plus I work full time and go to college as well, so I don't have too much extra time left to work on my car every week.
I also can't seem to get the transmission oil drain plug out of my old engine.... I've tried everything but an impact wrench. As soon as I get that out though, out comes my old engine, and then starts my wiring nightmare.
As for the valve cover differences, I have no thoughts on the matter. I just think it's kind of like with some peoples SOHC VTEC engines have VTEC on the valve cover and some don't... so perhaps some where painted, and some weren't.
