I have one of the double-ended ones and with the handle removed from one end I can chuck the whole thing into a real drill. It's good for drilling many holes, like a brake disc, but you just have to run it real slow. Even doing 8 plug wires on a thick plastic engine is much more pleasant when it's chucked into a drill, as your fingers will get tired from twisting so many times.
I've also seen adapters to use the drill bits in a cordless screwdriver so you can have a very slow, very small drilling tool.
