i did get one good thing out of my theft (unlike you) and that is a dope ass 2003 silverado truck to drive for a month. i think that it cost me like $50 over what ins. didnt cover for the rental.
as for the Type SH, watch what you buy. i test drove 3 SH's and on 2 of them, the differentials were broken(makes a knocking / screetching noise on tight turns). this was caused by the ATTS system going bad i would assume. i opted to buy a base model which was typically like $2000 cheaper than the SH's. anyway good luck and happy preluding after you get the money.

So why don't you guys invest in a real nice alarm??? I sell alarms (used to do it for years in columbus but now moved about 1.5hr north) and I'll tell you that there are ways to really slow up the thief to the point they'll walk. Notice I said "slow up". Nothing's for sure. Sometimes they just bring a flatbed truck.

But seriously, I just worked on a new SD F-250. The guy lives around here but likes to frequent Columbus and other crime ridden areas. I tried to talk him into a hood lock with tilt switches but he thought it was not necessary. Well, when in Columbus, they broke in. They were not able to get it to start but ended up hacking the battery cables. That didn't do much since the back up battery kicked in. They did find the siren wires and cut those. Since it took so long to get it to be quite, they only were able to get the Eclipse head unit.

After everything was sorted out. He ended up getting the truck repaired and I installed a 2 back up battery sirens, pain generator, and hood lock. I'd be damned that the aholes didn't try it again. This time they left empty handed
