Lightbulb

Mine is a sedan, but basically the priniciple and things you'll take out are the same: I took off my aircon compressor, aircon fan, floor carpeting and the overhead cover, but I placed a lighter cover overhead since it does get hot. Also took off the trunk interior panel. So overall I estimate that it lost about 50 lbs. I am still looking into taking off the aircon condenser. I think that's the extent of my weight reduction efforts. I still keep the door panels for aesthetic purposes--it looks too bare if I take it off, as well as the speaker panels at back. That's the minimum that you can do, I think, without sacrificing too much. What you plan might be too radical--you do need the spare tire and jack in case of emergency, for instance, as well as toolkit. Those are essentials IMO, and I don't think you'll use your car for track purposes only.
