The quick drive does look pretty nicely designed, but may I suggest saving up for a little while longer and getting a 1/10th scale? I bought my TL-01 for $350 (Australian) which included the kit, radio, charger a battery and pretty much everything needed to run. There was a cheaper kit, and a more expensive (obviously). The reason I suggest a 1/10 scale is because they have more things to do on them, and can be taken more places.
Of course the choice is up to you, because I don't really know where you would be using it, and how it will be used.
