I picked up a Chilton Book that was sealed in clear plastic cover. I wasn't able to check inside to confirm what was written on the back. I found out the hard way that it didn't contain anything on troubleshooting engine problems. I also noticed that Volkswagen Beetle troubleshooting books are hard to find. I don't wnat to waste any more money on junk. If you know of a very good book that explains what to do in order to repair each given situation that might arise please let me know at
[email protected]. My engine is hard to start and when it does start it backfires. This is my first Volkswagen. I don't know anything about Volkswagens.
