I had the same problem with my 97 Blazer, an intermittent no start and traced it to a defective ignition switch. Sometimes the car would start and then stall for no reason and a few times it would just shut off when coming to a stop. It would crank but there was no voltage to the ignition. Pull the coil wire out and crank the motor. You should hear the spark cracking at the coil. If it doesn't, it is probably the ignition switch in the column. You need a special socket to remove it It's an E4 deepwell inverted torx. Hope this helps you out, because it took me two weeks to finally track down this intermittent problem.
