Coincidentally, my first car model was a Ferrari F2000 too and I used to do it without any body paint. Needless to say it looked like crap with suspension parts all aligned poorly and slanted and i glued the rear cowling to the body and all. Luckily I sold it off cheaply after coming to AF and learning the proper techniques. I must say that this place is like the bible of modelling, and it has more stuff then buying any modelling books or magazines. By following the techniques described here, practice, patience and some money, I think most newbies like me should be able to produce good results after some initial learning curve and 'sacrificing' a few cars.

Here's a pic of my first car (WARNING don't look if you don't like crap models )
