I know for a fact that most break fluids will work. The only problem is they are not bio-degradible, so you have to figure out how to dispose of it.
Be careful with some break fluids around kits. If you are wondering why, check out my posts [4th Last and 7th Last posts in the thread]

EDIT: Avoid brake cleaners as well, they are harsh!
