I´ve broke the windshield of my AMT Gulstrand GS 90 Corvette 1/25 scale, so I´ve sent a message to AMT asking how I could buy a new part to replace the broken one. The answer that I received is palced bellow:

"Sorry, but RC2 does not carry any replacement items or extra parts, or issue refunds or exchanges for any products purchased from retail stores. If you have a product that is missing items, in need of replacement parts, damaged or defective in any way, or does not meet your expectations, please return it to the place of purchase for a refund or exchange. If it is not possible to return to the place of purchase, you may try exchanging the product at another store near you that carries our products. Thank you."

Well, I was trying to contact the good old AMT, not RC2. Times have changed... It seems that is impossible to get missing itens, replacement parts, damaged or defective parts for AMT kits. Just imagine me asking for a refund or exchange of a kit that I broke the windshield. Just imagine I talking a clerk, in a hooby store, into exchanging a kit with a broken windshield for a perfect new kit. Obviously that RC2 must be kidding me. My conclusion is that if you brake some part or buy an AMT kit with a defective part you have no help from AMT or the controller of AMT. I´ll have to bother the shop that sold it to me. Well, I assume that what RC2 is telling me is that whenever possible don´t buy a kit from AMT. BTW, anyone have the windshield to sell me?
