try doing all the basic tune-up things first. new fuel filter, new plugs, new wires (only if yours are bad) new rotor, new cap, pcv valve, make sure all vacuum and electrical connections are right. sounds like you have a fuel delivery problem on start up. i cant really say what because im used to carbs. does your car have a mechanical fuel pump? maybe it needs to be replaced. but id go with the simple stuff first plugs, cap etc. all of it will cost no more than $25 and thats for some good NGK plugs.
